Saturation Point

Oh, oh, oh, that was superb. A modern day epistolary that more than definitely hearkens back to every book, story, or movie that pits a team of hardy mercenary types against an unseen and unassailable enemy in a harsh environment. There are quite a few callbacks here to older SF works by the likes of the Strugatskys, Ballard, Adams, et al, and for me that just made this a damned near perfect five stars.
